Founders Day Celebration

Thursday, January 19, 2012

The Founder’s Day dinner meeting is just around the corner.  Every year we get together to celebrate the founding of USPS and the Main Line Sail and Power Squadron.  We then turn our attention  to the future by electing our new Bridge Officers for the coming year. We also recognize members who have contributed throughout the years to keep Main Line a viable and successful organization.

This year, we will be honoring a long-term and wonderful member, who is no longer with us, but who gave so much to MLSPS over many years. That person is Past Commander Robert F. Alexander.  P/C Alexander’s wife Marita, and son Bob Alexander, both current MLSPS members, will be in attendance with some very interesting (and old) photos and slides of past cruises and other Main Line events to help us celebrate.  Please join us at Winberie’s Restaurant for dinner and to recognize P/C Alexander’s selfless contribution to the Main Line Power Squadron.  This will surely be a fun and memorable event.
